It's a great japanese store, and I found it after watching the Kamikaze Girls movie that I found in an older post on this tribe. They are working on an english site, but until then... www.babyssb.co.jp/
I am learning a tiny bit about the basics of what the style I like is called... It's a sub-category of the Lolita look called Sweet Lolita.
I wish this tribe was more active. I am really interested in this purdy stuff!!!!!

Re: Baby the Stars Shine Bright
Wed, April 30, 2008 - 5:14 PMI live their stuff, too, but they don't sell to the US anymore. There are companies that will buy it for you, but it just adds to the expense. I have a Victorian Maiden dress that I got at Anime Expo '07 and plan to further augment my Goth Loli wardrobe at Anime Expo '08. Sometimes their stuff is on eBay, too. -

Re: Baby the Stars Shine Bright
Thu, May 1, 2008 - 11:45 PMmany of them come from Japan. I have a lot of dresses from Baby the Stars Shine Bright, some from Angelic Pretty, some from Metamorphose, some from Innocent World, etc. I also make a lot of my own clothes :) -

Re: Baby the Stars Shine Bright
Fri, May 2, 2008 - 9:40 AMI am very jealous. I need a sewing class.
I can crochet pretty well, and was wondering if I could maybe crochet on of those pretty headband hair accessory thingies. I am not sure what to call them but have never seen a crocheted lolita- anything. Do you think the texture and bohemian quality of crochet won't work with the lolita look? -

Re: Baby the Stars Shine Bright
Sat, May 3, 2008 - 1:14 AMI think it would look wonderful! There are actually patterns for crocheted lolita headdresses in some of the Gothic and Lolita Bibles (those are big fashion magazine that also include craft and sewing patterns-- only catch is, they're in Japanese!). I think it would look very cute, especially with a winter outfit :)

Re: Baby the Stars Shine Bright
Sat, May 3, 2008 - 9:39 AMReally? For a while they had a page explaining that they no longer sold to the US. That still counts me out, though. I was *ahem* bad and got myself banned from PayPal.
